My latest project — mink

With the fur trend all over the runways for this season’s winter fashions, I decided to embark on a new project for myself and Chic to Chic. I’ve always loved the look that results from mixing textures both in my jewelry and the way I dress, and this season the idea of adding fur {a texture of its own} to complete a winter look has really been resonating with me. Not overdone or too much of it, but just enough for a winter-chic look.

This paired with my passion for accessories, is what ultimately led me to interpret this trend for Chic to Chic by launching a private collection of mink handbags! The process itself was so much fun and I must say, incredibly exciting for me as it all came together.

I sourced vintage mink furs of great quality and partnered on the design and construction with local handbag extraordinaire Shaunt Sarian, of Sarian Boston. After an initial meeting to discuss my idea, I shared my vision for the collection with Shaunt and he started to move forward with the design process. There were a few things that were important to me for this collection that we kept in mind throughout the collaboration:

  • Since the mink is such a beautiful quality fur, the trims and linings had to match the aesthetic and integrity of the furs themselves.
  • I wanted to offer a variety of style options that could go from day to night wardrobe styles.
  • As I continue build the brand, it was important to me that the Chic to Chic branding was included but executed with elegance and subtlety.

After reviewing the pattern creation, construction and finishing touches we landed on 3 versatile silhouettes with suede and leather lining and trim, fabulous chain handles and a debossed Chic to Chic logo on the interior suede lining. I have to say I am thrilled with the way they came out!

They have officially arrived at the Chic to Chic showroom and I cannot wait for you to see them in person! To schedule a private appointment please contact us at

Sending you warmth during this frigid month of February,
