Spring is in the air at Chic To Chic

It’s hard to believe, Spring has arrived in Boston! I am so excited about the new arrivals in our showroom, full of gorgeous colors such as blues, greens, pinks, and whites. I can’t wait to share them with you as you start putting the finishing touches on your spring wardrobe.

One of the trends I am most excited about for Spring are opals. If you recall Kate Blanchette pulled her stunning Armani Privé dress together with a beautiful set of opal and white gold earrings by Chopard at the Oscars — just gorgeous.

I have been seeing opals everywhere in my travels, and in unexpected ways, which is what is predominantly trending for these precious gemstones. Opals come in a kaleidoscope of colors with black opals as the rarest and most expensive version of the gem, followed by boulder opals. You can see below how Chic To Chic has interpreted the opal trend for spring 2014 by sourcing some of these rare stones for our private collection. We’ve curated & designed some one of a kind pieces with boulder and Ethiopian opals

1 | Ethiopian opal {10.55 cts} ring surrounded by champagne diamonds {2.42} set in oxidized sterling silver with 18kt band – $1,995

2 | White zircon lariat with Ethiopian opals and vermeil – $795

3|  Chocolate zircon magnet wrap bracelet with Ethiopian opals and vermeil wheels – $495

4 | Boulder opal {49.02cts} and diamond {0.64} earrings set in 14kt rose gold – $5,395

5 | Boulder opal {40.91} cuff with white diamonds set in sterling silver – $4,995

Opals happen to be my birthstone, so they do have a special place in my heart. The symbolic properties of opals are said to be of hope, innocence, purity, happiness, loyalty and confidence.

We have so much more to show you! Let us know when you are ready to embrace spring, so we can help you finish off your look with the perfect accessories for the new season.
